Cruel War by Dani Rene is book 1 in her new Gilded Sovereign series. It is an edgy, gritty romance with a foul mouthed, dominant male and sassy female. Ares Lancaster and Dahlia Milton worked so well together. The way the characters played off each other and their chemistry was off the charts. We are only starting off the series and already my head is spinning with how the story is unfolding. There were so many twists and turns. The revelations are shocking, but you just know that there is something hiding around the corner just waiting to strike like a viper.
This story is about seeking revenge and how love can be found in the most unlikely places. The small town of Tynewood is the setting for this complex tale. Home to the founding families of the Gilded Sovereign. Wealthy, powerful families who run the world and seek ultimate power and control.
Ares Lancaster. Extremely arrogant, dark, brooding and sexy. Second born to the head of the Crowns, the rules of the world do not apply to him.
