Dark and Disturbing! Intensely passionate and exceptionally addictive read. It was so good that I finished the book in one day. When I looked at the clock it read 4 am and I had to be up at 6am to go to work. I think that tells you everything you need to know!! I have been desperate to get my hands on a new Pepper Winters book ever since I finished the Son and His Hope. I should have taken my time, savoured the fact that I had a new read by this author but I just couldn’t help myself.

The Body Painter is Book 1 in the Master of Trickery duet. A sexy, psychological thriller that will leave you twisted up in knots. I have read Monsters in the Dark as well as the Indebted Series, so for anyone who is a fan of Pepper Winters, when it comes to dark and twisted, she writes second to none.

Gil – A boy so deeply wounded, he shuts himself off from the world, with the exception of his art

Their chemistry is undeniable. Intense and explosive, it practically drips from every page. He has secrets no one should ever have to keep. She is desperate to help anyway she can. Fate brought them together, but circumstances are determined to make sure they never stay that way.

Secrets. Lies. Betrayal. Heartache.

He is undeniably cruel. She can see through his façade. Like hi magnificent works of art, he hides behind a mask. All she wants to do is love him. He cannot bear for him to stay close.

The ending is staggering, jaw dropping, smack you between the eyes. It left me stunned, it took me at least another 30 minutes to get to sleep after I finished the book reeling from how it all ended. I am begging for book 2, hoping the wait won’t be too long. Epic book!!
