Fable of Happiness (Fable, #3)Fable of Happiness by Pepper Winters
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Well it's that time again. Another trilogy and another massive book hangover. Fable of Happiness has held me captive from the very beginning. Kas and Gem are wonderful characters and their story is wrenched from the depths of an unholy nightmare that no one person should ever endure.
Deep in a forgotten valley in a decadent mansion built on the broken souls of the unwanted, a wild and untamed being, who longs for the day he no longer has to suffer, emerges. Forged from pain and degradation, Kas is the one person above all who can be forgiven his many transgressions. Alone for more than a decade, that there is a human part of him remaining is a miracle.
Gem is his lifeline. A beautiful creature who trespassed on his valley and blew his whole world to smithereens. Taught him that there could be more to life, gave him a reason to keep fighting and believing that not all people are out for his blood and tears. That there is still good left in a world he no longer knows.
Kas and Gem’s story is woven from the worst possible nightmare. It is captivating in that you feel every struggle, every suffering and you wish better for them. You are always hoping that they will get the happily ever after they deserve no matter how long or tough the journey is to get there. They are fighters, they are strong and together they are an unbreakable force.
Once again Pepper has shown that this is her go to genre. Through Monsters, Indebted, Dollars and Goddess Isles all of the same type I have been riveted by the strength of will of the main characters and Fable of Happiness is no different. This was a triology that I will hold close in my heart and I cannot wait to see whose story will be next in the Fable series ❤️📖
