Jegudiel (Deadly Virtues, #2)Jegudiel by Tillie Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

INTENSELY DARK AND SINISTER! JEGUDIEL is not for the faint of heart. This is a story that I gave been impatiently waiting for ever since I read the final word in RAPHAEL. It feels like forever since RAPHAEL can out so my expectations of this book were at an all time high and it did not disappoint! JEGUDIEL had me captivated from the first page. The story is so intricately woven that you are left in suspense as to which direction JEGUDIEL is going to follow. It was THRILLING, CHILLING and I was UTTERLY CAPTURED by this book. I am in complete book hangover mode and this is only book 2 in the series I think by the end I could possibly be a giant puddle of goo on the floor.

JEGUDIEL or DIEL for short is The Fallen's resident spree killer. One kill is never enough, the violent monster that resides in Diel demands blood and lots of it especially in the form of the Brethran. Having little control over his blood list Diel must don an electric shock collar to hold the monster at bay but he is finding it more and more difficult to control his rage and therefore Diel's monster is pushing to the surface more frequently. He demands retribution for all the suffering he and his brothers have endured so when the opportunity is presented to get revenge Diel is only to happy to go on a spree. He lives for the chase and the hunt, but he was not prepared for what he found on this spree.

Noa and her sisters are alot like the Fallen. Named the COVEN by the Brethran they have suffered pain and loss to rival The Fallen's and now they dish out revenge in their own way. On one such mission Noa finds more than just a preist and his charge. The confrontation with Diel opens a flood gate in Noa that will not be closed so she is determined to ride the wave and see where it takes her with Diel by her side.

The chemistry between this couple is explosive. Noa is able to recognise the Dark monster that dwells within Diel as she suffers a similar affliction. Together the set off a chain of events that never in my wildest dreams would I have been able to conjure a story so dark, disturbed and completely beguiling. Tillie Cole is the master at making me want the read dark romance. Her characters, even though damaged sometimes beyond redemption, you cannot help but feel connected to them and want to absorb their story into you being.

Diel was an epic read with twists and turns that have left me stunned and absolutely salivating for the next book in the series. I wish it was being released tomorrow. Talk about being GREEDYπŸ–€πŸ’‹
