You have got to love a good enemies-to-lovers romance we're they are forced together due to circumstances and Kennedy Fox delighted me with Kendall and Ryan's steamy trip to the rest of their lives.

Yes guys it's finally that time! The Hawks MC are back and we have a whole new generation of Hawks to feast upon.

The Hawks MC Ballarat and Caroline Springs Chapters are some of my most favourite MC novels and I have lost count of the number of times I have re-read these stories. So I jumped for joy when I found out that we were getting a whole new generation. To kick off this new series is none other than Cody Marcus the son of Talon Marcus, Pres of Ballarat chapter. Given the original series started with his dad it is only fitting that Cody should be first for the next generation. Mini Talon he should be called because he is just like his dad. Although there is nothing mini about Cody. These guys are always ginormous lol.

Channa has not had an easy life and has come back to Ballarat to get her dream. And no it is not Cody, in fact she would rather he never darkened her door. Unfortunately life likes to throw curve balls and Channa finds herself caught up in the middle of Hawks business and Cody is now her shadow, fortunately he cannot remember their first meeting. Channa reminds me of Zara and how she first interacted with Talon. Needless to say once Cody makes a decision to pursue Channa hilarity ensues, you have got to love Lila Rose's sense of humour lol.

The whole club will make an appearance so don't fret you will be able to catch up with all your favourites past and present and I cannot wait for the next book in the series ❤️

EXCERPT

No way. 

No fudging way. 

He was here. Right over there and inside the shop. 

“Denise, I’ll be out back if you need me,” I whispered with a panicked edge to my tone before I bolted through the swinging doors behind me. Leaning over, I rested my hands on my thighs and took gulps of air. 

“Channa, are you all right?” Stanley asked. He dropped the bowl on the workbench and started for me. I quickly straightened and waved him off. 

“I’m fine…. I… think I swallowed a fly.” And a lie. I hated lying, but I couldn’t exactly tell Stanley, who was my cake-icing machine and sixty years old, that I ran like a wuss when I saw him. It would just be confusing, and then I would have to delve into my past, into a moment of time I wanted to forget. 

Stanley screwed up his nose. “Blasted warm days stink arse. It’s hotter than hell in here. My balls are sweating so bad and my icing doesn’t want to work.” 

I moved over to the bench and pressed my hands onto the cool stainless steel. “Come on, Stanley, I know you can work your magic. I might have turned off the ovens a little late this morning, but the air con is on and it’ll start freezing this place over soon.” 

I could have done without hearing about his balls, but I’d put up with it because Stanley was a master at making and applying icing to all my baked goods. He was a god, and I wouldn’t know what to do without him, because I had skills to bake, which I loved doing, but the delicate decorating just wasn’t for me. I messed them up each time I tried. It was how I’d known I would have to hire someone and was lucky Stanley had approached me about the work when I’d advertised. 

He huffed and said, “I’m going into the coolroom.” He picked up his bowl and walked to the floor-to-ceiling coolroom at the back of the work area. He opened the door, stepped in, and I caught his shoulders sag in relief before he shut the door behind himself. 

Turning back towards the front of the shop, I tippy-toed back towards the doors, thankful Stanley wasn’t there to see my childish actions, and pushed them apart enough to peek out. 

A squeak slipped through my lips, and I let the doors fall closed quickly. Taking a step back, I rested my hand over my swift-beating heart. 

He was right there. 

At the counter. 

He was smiling at something Denise was saying. That smile could steal someone’s breath. It had stolen mine every single time back in high school. Only I hadn’t seen it since then, for eight long years, and the power of having it directed my way had grown. His light eyes could trap another’s gaze. His dark hair looked like it needed someone to run their fingers through it. His body…. All right, I had to stop there. Yes, he was handsome, but right then I didn’t need my hormones seeking out someone for a roll between the sheets. Especially not him. 

I only hoped he would take whatever he was ordering and go. There wasn’t anything in the world that would have me out there in the bakery when Cody Marcus was inside. 

I jolted when Denise popped her head through the doors. “Need help, please.” 

Son of a bitch. 

Okay, there was nothing except that.

Lila was born in Brisbane Australia, her step-dad was in the Army which caused them to move around a lot. They finally settled in country Victoria, Australia. Being the youngest of four children she admits she was spoilt a bit. Even drove her mum crazy when she refused to eat meat at a young age. 

Now, Lila lives with her husband and two children.

You Can't Resista Dirty Book Review

 STUNNING, EXHILARATING and TITILLATING! Those are three words I would use to describe this book. Mr Heartbreaker by Jordan Marie had me captivated right from the start. Every chapter has me greedy for more. There was a real connection between the reader and characters that I felt compelled to finish the book in one sitting and therefore was still awake at until nearly 4am to finish it. Now this would have been great if I could have got a lay in but my six month old thought 5am would be a good time to get up. But it was worth the extra sleep depravation!

This book is a new/spin off from the Lucas Brothers series by the same author so you know you are in for a little bit of Ida Sue (love that woman). In it we follow Mike Huntington, brother to Parker (major league Baseball player has appeared in Lucas brothers). Cocky, arrogant ladies man. Has crated this whole persona to keep people at arms length, he doesn't even reveal himself to his closet friends. Everyone expects Big Mike to be life and soul of the party, party hard and screw anything in a skirt. Mike is growing tired of his life but what can he do. He only has one year of high school to go and then hopefully can escape this black hole he has created for himself.

Violet Raines has not had an easy life. All she wants to do is get into an IVY League college and become an Entertainment Lawyer and never have to worry about money. Blackmountain Academy is where she will be attending her final year of high school and all she wants to do is slip in under the radar, get good grades and get out. Her life is a precariously build house of cards one slight deviation and her whole life implodes. Unfortunately on her second day Violet snags the attention of BMA Heartthrob aka Big Mike who has never in his life had an attraction to a girl the way he is to Violet. Borderline obsessive Mike will do anything in his power to make Violet his. Violet may look like a book nerd with a cracking body but she is by no means a pushover. Violet is determined to achieve her goals in life so when her secrets are discovered by the one guy she is hoping to avoid Violet is not prepared for the direction he life will go.

You do not want to miss this read. Mike and Violet are tremendous characters. Their chemistry is explosive and they are more alike than they will ever know. They bring out the better side of each other. A great young adult /coming of age story ❤️    About the Author: I'm just a simple small town country girl, haunted by Alpha Men who talk in my head 24 hours a day. I knew I wanted to write when it became clear I couldn't be happy with just viewing other people's stories. I always wanted to rewrite them. Like why did Jack have to die? Why couldn't Rose move her butt over? Because that was a huge piece of wood she was on, people. Happy Endings should be fought for, but they should always happen. Mine might take some curves and twists, but they eventually get there. Having published over fifty stories, it always feels surreal that this is my life. Hitting USA Today had me crying for days, but nothing is more special than hearing from readers that they loved one of my books.
