The course of true love does not run smoothly as Shane and Serena find out in this beautifully written standalone novel.  This was my first read by author V.P. Mason and I was blown away and captivated by this love story.

I will give you the highlights.  Serena is the atypical spoilt rich girl, or is she?  Losing her mother rocked her to her core and now she is acting out to protect herself, only she has taken her antics too far and her father has had enough.  To earn back his respect and trust, Serena must spend her summer working as a housekeeper on her father’s friend ranch in Texas.  Oh boy this rich girl is about to get more than her hands dirty.

Shane lived 24 years of his life under the pretext of a lie, now he is has left his old ways and life behind to hide away and work himself to the bone to forget his pain on Rising Star Ranch.  Shane has major trust issues and does not forgive easily.

Thrust together, insta-attraction, neither can deny what they feel, no matter how hard they try.  A metamorphosis from summer fling to something permanent?  Can their worlds collide and leave them unscathed in the aftermath?  You will have to join the cast of Moonlight rose , Texas to find out.

V.F.Mason always loved reading books and had quite a few fights with her momma over the genre she liked (romance, duh!) She studied filmmaking and thought that would feed her desire for stories, but that didn't happen. 

Finally, when she was tired of all those voices in her head, she sat down and wrote a book. It was a huge decision to make and she thanks her friends and family for supporting her in it.When she is not writing, she can be found with her friends doing all sorts of crazy things or reading recent romance books that were written by her favorite authors.
