Angel of Mine is my first read by Zane Michaelson so I went into this story with no preconceived notions about the authors writing or style. I have to say I am now a firm fan! This author managed to get lots of my favourite bookisms in one story - a feelgood romance told in a dual perspective that keeps you on your toes right to the end. There were a lot of surprises in this book!
Angelo is a loyal soldier, never putting his foot wrong, but that is all tested when he is assigned to watch over Gabriella - she is his apple in the garden of Eden, temptation personified. Their meeting unexpected, their relationship builds quickly, she is his greatest sin.
Their love is sweet and joyful with an undercurrent of danger.
If you haven't tried any of Zane's work I highly recommend this spiritual fantasy romance as a great starter.
