You Can't Resista Dirty Book Review
Explicit by Ava Harrison for me was an excellent read an I would place it in the genre of second chance romance. The characters are flawed, lost souls trying to find their footing, desperate for a place in the world.

Pierce Lancaster is the forgotten son, 11 year age gap between the brothers left him feeling like an outcast, going to extremes to get noticed by his family. As he gets older his antics draw the wrong type of attention but he is now so set in his ways with a huge chip on his shoulder that he no longer cares.  Unfortunately for Pierce he lands himself in hot water and must pay the piper.

Lindsay Walker was invisible to her family. Her life consisted of money, parties, booze and drugs to cope with her loneliness. Always with a brave face. Hat is until her life is turned upside down.

These two characters were so similar in there family backgrounds and with how they chose to deal with their pain. They have always been in each other's worlds. Where Lindsay finally chooses to be productive with her life Pierce takes a little more convincing. He finds it easier to fall back into old habits, but if his intentions are to land the feisty blonde he needs to ale the reigns and exert control over his life.

“You can’t have me.”
"That’s what you think. But I know the truth. We’re inevitable.”

This book was full of twists and surprises. Pierce's secret being the biggest surprise of all. Turns out what you show the world is not always who and what you are, but you let it define you as it is the easier option.

Loved Pierce, loved this book, adored this series. A must read.

“Hey, I never got a taste,” Pierce exclaims.
“Oops.” I smile innocently. “There’s none left. Maybe next time.”
Before I know it, he’s leaning into me. Into my personal space, he’s so close I’m dizzy. Our gazes are locked. My breath comes out ragged and harsh from being this close to him. What is he doing?
He answers my unspoken question by taking my hand in his. My heart hammers heavily in my chest as it lifts. The feel of his fingers on me is hot and heady, the memories that are imprinted on my mind resurfacing to the forefront of my brain. I remember everything.
We stare at each other.
Neither speaking.
The seconds pass, but it feels like everything is on pause as I wait to see what he will do. The boys talking in the background is a steady buzz against the pounding in my chest.
He lifts.
Thud.
Closer.
Thud.
His tongue juts out, and he swipes the tip of my finger where the cream from the filling has collected. Before I can think, he places it in his mouth and eats the rest.
“Ewwwww,” rings out through the room. The sound of the boys gagging pulls me out of my haze.
“What are you doing?”
“Having dessert.” He winks. His emerald green eyes twinkling with mischief.
He’s too close. Too damn close. I remember what his lips feel like against my skin. Decadent. Like the first bite of a macaron.
Sinful.
I need to get away.
