Mason and Sophie are just too cute I don’t think my heart can take it!!! This was a great addition to the Roommate series. Truly Mine is book #1 in Mason and Sophie’s Duet and Kennedy Fox deliver a jaw dropping, intensely sexy suspenseful tale that will have you glued to your pages until the very last. I don’t know how these guys do it. In every duet I have managed to fall in love with the main couple. The stories are always so romantic and yet at the same time keep you on your toes. From one book to the next you never know where the story is going to take you. The surprises along the way are staggering. The gamut of emotions that you are put through is at times rough, I wonder how my heart can take it sometimes, but you are always hopeful that at one point the couple will catch a break.
I fell in love with Mason!! Such a kind, beautiful man with a huge heart, but a deeply tortured soul. As his story unravelled, I found myself getting all starry eyed. There were times when I wanted to clunk him around the head and tell him to stop messing about. But the build-up is so much better that an insta-rush.
Sophie is a sweet, loving, nurturing character. The eldest of the Corrigan sisters, she is always on hand as a shoulder to cry on. She loves deeply and once you are in her heart she will protect you with her life. The serious turn her story takes is may be triggers for some readers, but her strength guides her through the toughest of times and her friends will be willing to help, all she has to do is ask.
Mason and Sophie’s chemistry is explosive from the start. Always smouldering beneath the surface, Mason just needs a wake up call. The burn is slow, the sexual tension would need a chainsaw. There are secrest and lies, love and heartache, blood anf bertrayal. You need to invest in the duet and be prepared to wait for book 2 when you start this story, but you will not be sorry that you did. Another excellent read📖❤️💋
